Lots to Show You!

Emery's room is done and waiting her arrival. When Kennedy was born we did the nursery in animals and it was neutral colors/gender. We didn't find out the sex the first time so it worked well if we had a boy or girl. We decided to keep it the same when Gentry came along. So this time...being the 3rd girl......I said We Are Having a Girlie Baby's Room! So here it is :)

I LOVE Uppercase Living. I could plaster these all over my walls....and I do. My brother's girlfriend Krista got this awesome decal for Emery's room. I just love it!

I can't tell you how many times a day Kennedy wrecks on this dang scooter. Don't get me wrong......the girl knows how to ride the thing.......just a little too well. She's thinks it's a Nascar race...only on her scooter. She's like a big blur flying all over the driveway. Then she'll hit a rock or a little uneven spot and she goes flying. Then we have to cry. But we always get right back on!

Kennedy got her stitches out on wednesday! She was such a trooper. No tears at all. They really had to work to get those bad boys out too. Probably took a good 30 minutes! I was so proud of her.

Here lately Gentry wants to wear her tutu all...the...time. It's pretty cute. My friend made it for her earlier in the year. Don't know why suddenly she has taken interest in it?

This picture was taken on one of those days.......ya know "THOSE DAYS". Where the whole day is a day from hell. This picture however made it worth it. I am pretty sure it was the only time one of them wasn't whining or complaining. Or hitting each other!

My parents came down and visited today. Mom made a great brunch & brought it down. We just hung out and relaxed. Went and got ice cream this afternoon and did some scenic country driving. The girls got down for a late nap @ 4:00. Gentry was only asleep for an hour when she woke up. She settled right back in to another hour of sleep w/ mommy on the couch though. She's been battling a nasty virus for the last 10 days. Off and on she randomly throws up, has a headache and gets diarrhea. It's a real treat. We are hoping she is completely over it REAL SOON. This picture is obviously courtesy of her father who thought it was cute.

Kennedy starts preschool in the morning! She'll be going 3 days a week this year in the mornings. She is sooo excited. I am pretty sure she is still laying in bed awake.

My next post will be pictures of the bathroom!!! It is finally completely finished! So stayed tuned.........but if Emery makes her debut then a post about her will definitely win out!

Not Much

Haven't really been too good w/ taking many pics this last week. All these were before church taken by Daddy! The girls were being extra silly.
- Bathroom is done!!!!! Just need to put the finishing touches (aka: some wall decor) and then you'll get to see some pics!
- Emery's room is almost complete and ready for her arrival!!!!!! Clothes are all washed and in the dresser!!!
- I am not real sure that my stomach can go out any farther. I am predicting this to be my biggest baby. Most definitely my longest. Guess we'll wait and see!

Wednesday War Wound

Well today was eventful to say the least.
- 1 hr. before I was to leave for my Dr.'s appt. the babysitter's mom calls and babysitter is sick. I hold no grudge against her. She is getting ready to have her gallbladder taken out. I have felt her pain. She was definitely excused!
- So the girls went with since it was so last minute. They did awesome. Or so I hear. They got to spend time in one of the office's with my sweet client who works there. They both came home with little purse bags (that of course have the name of a birth control pill on the side!) (but hey they don't know! we'll just play with the bags at home!!!!) And somehow in the bags they got awesome lip gloss and (cherry and orange flavors) and rolls and rolls of paper out of one of their office calculators.
-Placenta Previa is gone!!!! Yeah!!! That made the day right there. Although I still have big decisions to make. C-section or VBAC(vaginal birth after c-section)? My doctor wants me to choose. My first delivery was natural but my second was c-section since Gentry went breach. So he says I am a good candidate for the vbac if that's what I choose. There is a risk of uteran rupture that you run with the vbac though. Your scar from your previous c-section/sections is a weak part in the uterus that can tear during labor. Although he says this is a 1% chance. But he did do a delivery the other day where it happened to the mother. Won't go into detail for my mother's sake, but it sounds and is horrible.
So I have a week of contemplation. I will take input in the comments section!
- Found out after we got home from my appt. that our sweet neighbor Jim who we love and adore had a stroke this morning. The ambulance must have come right after we left. However they knew right away what was happening and had him to the hospital receiving care in under an hour from his first signs. Hopefully he will be able to make a full recovery. Only time will tell. His wonderfully sweet wife Betty is currently dealing with lung cancer (never smoked a day in her life). Our girls absolutely love and adore both Jim and Betty and vice-versa. They praise our girls constantly on how beautiful, smart and well behaved they are. They are the kind of neighbors everyone dreams about. They are in their early 70's and just celebrated their 51st wedding anniversary on Monday. So if you could please pray for them I am sure they would be ever so grateful.
-WELL ONTO OUR LOVELY PICTURE HERE................

We decided to cap off the day with a trip to the doctor's office....again. This time the girls' doctor's office. Thank the Lord they are open til 8pm. Miss Kennedy had a "run in" with our coffee table. The thing is our coffee table isn't even really a coffee table and has no sharp edges. I am really not sure how this happened. I was scrubbing the toilet like every mother does at supper time. And while I was scrubbing Kennedy is running the big circle around our house at warp speed. So for the seventeen thousandth time I yell "QUIT RUNNING". Pretty soon I here a boom and then screaming. Being the mother of the year I yell "If you got hurt I don't feel sorry for you b/c I have warned you a million times!" Kennedy is then right behind me and yells/bawls "But I am bleeding". So I turn around..........to see blood EVERYWHERE. It was running down her whole entire face and neck. Just gushing. Head wound. Hello. And immediately I feel awful. I get her cleaned up and actually got the bleeding to stop! But it looks as if she's been stabbed and I knew we were going to need "further care". So 5 min later at 7:00 HER dad walks through the door just getting home from work and Kennedy and I walk out.

She ended up getting two shots to deaden it and 3 stitches! But the girl...did...awesome. She did not shed one tear while they were doing it. In fact when they were all done sewing her up she asked the Dr. "When do I have to have that shot?" He laughed and said "All done my dear". I was sooooo stinking proud of her and how she handled herself. So of course we hit up her faaaaavorite place for some ice cream afterwards.........SONIC!!!

Well it's late. So I am calling it a night. Sorry to be so long winded. But I had to share.

Scorcher Day at the "Y"

Last Thursday we loaded up the suburban and headed to the water park at the YMCA. It was 104 degrees and boy did the water feel good. We stayed for about 3 hrs and boy were we tuckered out (or at least me!) when we left. I took an underwater camera with me. The pics aren't the best quality but they are pretty fun!

Busy Bee

I have been a busy bee around here. Although I feel like I am not getting near enough done. There are not enough hours in the day and even if there were I don't have the energy. I cleaned out the closet in our bedroom, our dresser, and the closet in Kennedy's room (which held all of mine). This is what went to Goodwill after I was done...........I KNOW..........SICK. I almost even hate to show you this picture. I have to admit almost everything in this pile belonged to me. I had so many clothes from high school that I was still holding on to for some reason. But it was time to say BUH BYE! And let me tell you my dresser looks awesome! And so do the closets! Kennedy even has her own clothes hanging in her own closet now!

If you haven't noticed I only have 4weeks or less to go before Miss Emery gets here! It is insanely crazy how fast this pregnancy has gone. The baby room is all painted. Working on her dresser/changing table right now. Hopefully the room will be all together by the end of next week! And the bathroom......OH THE BATHROOM! We are putting the final touches on it (there are lots of them). But I am loving how it is turning out. Can't wait to show you pics of all these projects! Be patient! They are coming soon! Hopefully BEFORE Emery!

Clay County Fair

A couple of weeks ago we made it back home to take in the county fair. The girls had a great time with their cousin Dylan. And at the end of the night I am not sure who was more tired...them...or..me. They rode til 10:00!

It's never truly the fair with out a funnel cake. They have always been my Dad's favorite. So to carry on tradition he got one. But little did he know his two granddaughter's were girl's after his own heart. I am pretty sure they ended up devouring 90% of his funnel cake. And I think it was about the only time in my life that I didn't hear my dad object to someone stealing his most prized fried fair food!

This picture is worth a million words. She was so excited for this ride. She JUST KNEW she wanted the seat in the front. Then the ride started.......and it may not have been quite what she had anticipated. This is what she looked like most of the time. I was in tears I was laughing so hard! But she did end up going on it again later and she even smiled!

Kennedy talked Dana in to going on the Farris Wheel with her again this year. Not his most favorite thing. But he'll do about anything for his girlies if they ask him with just the right face! Couldn't catch Miss K's face between the bars but at least Daddy is smiling!

Dana, Kennedy and Dylan getting done with the ride!

Marah and Gentry going down the slide! Last year I really enjoyed going down the slide with Kennedy. So this year Gentry was big enough to do it too. Upon reading the rules before you climb the 4 million stairs to the top the second to last rule says ....... NO PREGNANT WOMEN! Well, that was the beginning and end of the slide for me this year :(

Dylan and Logan going down the slide

You might ask...What in the world is the Cheese ball on the right doing? When I asked Kennedy what she was doing she told me "I was doing what Grandma Walleta was doing"! If you click on the picture you'll see she's shaking her finger!!!

Swim Lessons

As soon as we returned from vacation on Sunday Kennedy started two weeks of swim lessons on Monday the 12th. She went everyday Mon.-Fri. 11:15-11:55. She absolutely LOVES to swim. So swim lessons is like play time to her. She enjoyed every minute of it. She passed level 2 this year and will be taking level 3 next summer!

Patiently waiting for her teachers to say it's okay to get in the water.

Swimming around on her board

Coming up out of the water!

Kennedy is under the water on the right

Bailey and Kennedy were in the same swim class again this year!

My child normally jumps as far out as she can and tries to make the biggest splash EVER she says! But on this particular jump (the one I am taking a picture of....of course) she decides to do some sort of "pencil" jump. She literally jump like a pencil and shot clear down in the water. Scared the living tar out of her mother b/c she darn near took the back side of her body off on the diving board.

Waiting for her turn on the slide. Her favorite. I am not sure what she was thinking about in this picture.

Gentry got to swim in the baby pool every day while K took her swim lessons so she was in hog heaven also. As for mom.......well I just sweat the whole time....like a hog. Only hogs don't sweat. So whatever. But Gentry kept me cool by getting as much water on me as possible w/out physically getting in the water. It was very hot those 2 weeks.
However not as hot as today. Our actual temp is supposed to be 108 degrees. With a heat index somewhere above that. It's all I can do to keep my poor plants alive. The girls are driving me crazy w/out outside time in the afternoon. But we are under an Excessive Heat Warning. They are "encouraging" everyone to stay inside. Especially high risk people, like elders and pregnant women. I have to laugh at that! After much observation in many store parking lots I think at my current physical state I qualify for a handicap parking tag more than about 70% of the people I see w/ them!
