Bird Bath

Gentry got a bird bath before bed. I guess you could say I was too lazy to fill the whole tub up. But from a hairdresser/mother's perspective she didn't need her hair washed. She liked it, so that's all that mattered.

Splish Splash

This was last night. She did this over and over....and over. This was her 3rd time swimming for the day. I was tired. Didn't want to mess w/ the swim suit....for the 3rd time. So it was undies all the way. And she could have cared less.

Some more!!!

Little Deer!

One of my best friends from childhood let us come over the other day to see something she knew the girls would LOOOOVE!!! This poor little thing was starving out in one of their fields obviously abandoned by it's mother. It was the cutest baby I have ever seen. Aside from mine of course! Just precious. And the girls loved every minute of contact w/ this little "darling deer".

Kennedy giving "Twiggy" her(or was it a him?) bottle.

Last Night!

We got invited to the lake w/ some friends last night. It was hotter than HE*L. No air. The water even felt like bath water. But we had a great time. Thanks Jeremy and Kim!

Kim out on the water.

My hubby catching some air.

Got the ski's on.

ME!

Yes, that is ME. And yes, I was trying to qualify for the show "Wipeout". I have felt it all day today.

Dana and I. Right before Kim snapped this picture I believe he was trying to drown me. Jokes on him.......his life insurance is paid up.....but mine's not!!! OK.......just joking. We are both insured for equal appraisal. Although I am pretty sure I am worth WAAAAAAAAY more.

Dana tearing it up.

Dana on the slalom (sp?) ski. He did pretty good for it being so long since he had been on one.

My favorite pic of the evening. And yes those are my beautiful feet w/ awesome toenail polish!

I thought this was too cute not to post. Sorry Jeremy and Kim...hope you don't mind!

Too Beautiful

Hip Fits

Dad came home from the hospital tues. late morning. He has had trouble w/ bad nonstop bleeding from his hip since mon. night. He is on cumadin (blood thinner) to prevent blood clots in his legs. So that is not helping matters. He majorly overdid the walking on monday afternoon (despite mom and I's protests) (But he is a stubborn 'ole farmer) and that's what started all of this. Mom had to take him back to Manhattan yesterday for the nurse to check him out b/c they were worried about all of the blood loss. The nurse ended up having to remove the "do not remove til friday or else bandage" b/c it was just sopping w/ blood. Mom couldn't keep him gauzed up for very long before having to change everything again. So the nurse packed on some bandaging about an inch thick and said he needs some good pressure on his hip to help the bleeding stop. So he is now ace bandaged tightly all around his hips. He is not supposed to be walking at all unless using the restroom until the bleeding is under control. He goes back in tomorrow morning and is on schedule to start physical therapy on monday. He could probably use a prayer if you could spare one. And my mom probably could too.

Here are some pics from when he was in the surgery center!

Oh.....yummy.

Only in America....do they feed you this post surgery. While you're talking on a cell phone, when only hrs earlier you couldn't even make since out of your words!

Dad's New Hip

Dad had his right hip replaced today. Things went really well. They said they had to clean a lot of arthritis out of it. His doctor said he is a big boned guy w/ lots of thick muscle (dad just loved it when he heard that!). The avg. size replacement that they normally use is 49-52mm. They had to use a 62mm replacement for Dad!

By this afternoon he was up and "walking w/ a walker". But actually it was more like he was walking and holding the walker up off the ground. Naturally he felt great b/c of the pain meds so he was strolling all over the place. And despite mom and I nagging him to death he still over did it. Shortly after we left tonight his incision started bleeding pretty bad. So hopefully tomorrow won't be too rough. They think they will release him tomorrow afternoon. AMAZING! He will still have a 6-8 wk recovery time though, w/ physical therapy of course.

Since I am not at home on my computer I am using this picture off my cell phone. So it will have to do for now.

Our CRaZy Life!

Well it's been a BIG week here. My 12 yr old cousin Taylor has been w/ us since sun. and will go home tomorrow. She has endured quite the stay. Snakes, storm after storm, swimming, swimming and more swimming. Park play, shopping, a new hair cut! And screaming wild little girls that she is not used to living w/. She is a very much loved only child! And she is my only girl cuz on my dad's side! So her stay this summer has been fun and the second year of an annual stay. Until she decides I'm not cool anymore. Here are a TON of pics to reflect on our week.

Well we are at #2. This time is was a western gardner snake. This is how Taylor found him! She had her tush about 2 inches from the seat of the chair when she saw her friend next to her! This pot sits right in front of our huge living room window. He was actually looking in. I am more than positve he was mooching off some primetime t.v. from us.

Sorry buddy. You picked the wrong house. Your friend should have warned you!

Storm clouds out our front porch tues night.

Kennedy's HUGE lollipop that her hairbrained mother bought her.

We went to the awesome awesome awesome play park that just got finished in Winfield. After being rebuilt when some hellrazor kids torched it to the ground last fall.
Gentry looking up at Mamma.

The girls doubling up in the swing. They thought it was great.

Mommy Melissa helping out her little lady on the ropes.

Kennedy and Maddison peeking at me.

The kiddie area. The whole park is rubber padded. You feel like you are walking on the moon. It is seriously too dang cool.

Kennedy peeking through one of the holes in the tube.

Kennedy's FAVORITE part was the misters. She was soaked by the time she got done playing in them.

Lane looking out the silo.

Bird Watching

Too cute! They have the most adorable conversations. It usually goes something like this. K: "Maddison would you like to be my friend?" M: Yes, Kenneee I will be your friend." K: "Ok Maddie. We can get married in 5wks and be friends forever"

Checking out the ducks under the tree.

Lane, Maddie, Gentry and Kennedy doing some front porch sittin' and popsicle lickin'

I think out of all four kids Gentry did the best w/ her popsicle. She sucked on that thing til every last drop was off her stick!

Sorry the post was so huge. But it will be my only one for a little while. My dad is having a hip replacement on monday. So I will be headed back home and will return the middle of next week. Til then ! Adios my fellow blog lovers!!!
