Princess X's Two!

Kennedy's Aunt Ann gave her this princess getup at Christmas. She loves it! Up until now though she hasn't wanted to wear the dress b/c it was "Itchy". But she figured out she can wear it over her clothes. I had to force her to take it off for nap time.

I watch our neighbor boy Lane on mondays and thursdays. This is what he was subjected to yesterday! He sure was enjoying himself. I wish we could all go back to the younger years where we could just have fun and not worry about what we looked like! Lane, you really made my day when you wanted to dress up too!

Kennedy's First Cut

Kennedy got her first haircut friday night. She has had her bangs cut many times but never the back of it. So this was her first "official" haircut. She was really excited. She kept laughing the whole time and giggling so it was hard to get her to hold still.

Whow girl, talk about death glare. She really was excited. I don't know why she had such sour faces while dad was snapping pics.

Sinful Chocolates

For Valentines day the owner of the salon where I booth rent at gave us all chocolates. Now these are not just any chocolates. They are made fresh every couple of days and hand painted. This woman just opened the chocolate shop a little over a year ago in Wichita and it's taken off like gangbusters. She's already expanded too! The shop itself is supposed to be amazing. The chocolates are pretty pricey but you pay for what you get. Check out the web site at www.cocoadolce.com.

Kennedy looks forward to prayers before bed every evening. We ask her who she wants to pray for and then we make a few suggestions too. When we are finished with that we always say the Our Father prayer. The last couple of nights she has been saying it on her own. She has been saying it on her own for at least 6 mos or so but this is the first time getting it on camera!

Today was Cora's funeral. I have had a heavy heart all day. I do not know the family personally but have been following their blog for a while now. They live reasonably close to us. So I feel like I know them. Dana and I went to high school with one of their close friends. Click on "The Macs" on my blog list to read about this sweet child that went to be with God on sunday.

I Thank God for my children. My healthy Children. My silly children. My cranky children. My messy children. My children that love to test my patience oh so much. The children he gave us to love, nurture and teach. and no I am not talking about their ABC's. I am talking about him.

These pics were of the girls yesterday morning before church. YES, YES I know......another "what did she put on her kid" moment. The hat on Gentry was actually Kennedy's as a baby. She would just never keep it on. But Gentry will. So sorry for the humiliation in the future years Gentry. Mommy thought it was too cute!





Gentry loves listening to Kennedy's headphones but always has a hard time getting them on. Therefore we throw a fit until mommy helps!



My brother-in-law and his wife have a picture of their wedding rings similar to this that their wedding photographer took. I thought it was really cool so I decided to do one of our rings. "Nontraditional" photos like these weren't the big thing when we got married. But I sure wish they would have been!
