We had a big weekend here. It was a fun one full of great times with our good friends Kris and Katie who came to visit. Here is a glimpse!

30 YEARS AGO TODAY!

30 years ago today Dana's parents (Dana Sr. and Walleta) got married! Don't they looked smashing in their wedding apparel!!! Walleta's wedding dress is even in style right now! What is even more scary is how much my Dana looks like his father!
I would like to wish them a very Happy Anniversary and of course Congratulations on 30 years!!! We love you lots and can't wait to celebrate w/ you at the zoo in Omaha!!

These Days

Well Kennedy had her last day of preschool on thursday. She was sooooooo upset. I know I know you are thinking WHATEVER. NO SERIOUSLY. I picked her up and we got to the car and she burst in to tears, sobbing, choking, gushing. She was sooo heartbroken school is over. But time is a hard concept for wee ones that age. So after she figured out its summer and she can swim all was well.

Gradu"lation" aka Graduation

Tonight Kennedy had her preschool graduation. It was at the Methodist church here in town and she was soooooooo excited. She had her outfit planned for days now. Since she just turned 3 this last fall she won't be able to start kindergarden for 2 more years. So she will actually repeat the 3 yr class again next year and then do 4 yr. old class the year after that. But so will 3 other kids in her class who turned 3 this last fall too.

Kennedy calls it her grau"lation" instead of graduation. I think it is a combo word. Ya know congratulations/graduation!

Walking in........an not so sure about everyone staring. Kennedy's class is all of the front row (a whole 5 kids!) The 4 yr old class is behind them. The class performing "MODEL" Student Lane and Kennedy Kennedy/Drummer girl Sisters......26mos. apart. Need I say more? Dana's parents showed up at our front door step at 5:00. Total surprise! They drove the 2.5hr drive one way to come see Kennedy's graduation. She was really excited. It was nice having them there. The family post ceremony. Yeah! Sissy graduated. (to the same class next year!) No words can describe the lump that rises in your throat when you realize how much love you have for your children. You would do anything for them. Ache for them, cry for them, Die for them. I would do Anything for these two girls and their father. And the lump gets bigger when you realize how quickly all of these precious memories are coming and going. Tonight was the perfect gradu"lation".

Crazy Storms and A New House!

So we have had some wicked weather. Tornado warnings, Severe Thunderstorm warnings, Flash Flood warnings.....pretty much all of them. Oh and of course Wind Advisories can't live in KS w/o those! So here are pics from our latest storm last night that norrowly missed us. But it caused a lot of panic to the west of us!

Well we have a new house. Playhouse that is. The girls are thrilled and it is the center of all outdoor/indoor play now. We had it made at the Morganville Lumber Yard back home. I had one just like it as a little girl and have such great memories of it. I hope they will too!
