Fall Festival Fun!

Well we headed back to our home town this past weekend. It was their big fall festival. The girls were in the Kiddie Parade saturday morning and then we all wathched the BIG parade that afternoon. The kids were all pooped as were mom and dad. Dana's parents helped the girls in the kid parade (Kennedy rode her tricycle, grandma Walleta pushed Caylyn in her trike and Gentry rode coach in front of Grandpa Dana) and they got to hang out with thier cousin Dylan (who they just loooove!) for some of the day too!

Tomorrow I will be a quarter of a century old! Yeah Yeah I know, I am still a pup. My grandmother (my mom's mom) and I share the same birthday. So my mom had a little "shin dig" bday party for us this past weekend. My grandma will turn 80! Doesn't she look good! We are enjoying this wonderful fall weather here and trying to take in all of the fresh air before it turns in to the "Winter Bite"!

A Day At The Zoo!

We celebrated my (Kate's) b-day early with my family and made a trip to the zoo this past weekend and had an awesome time. The weather could not have been more perfect. We were there for 4 hrs and took it all in. Kennedy walked the whole time!!! The girls really did awesome. We got some amazing pictures. This is one of my favorties. The lion was literally up against the glass, so that was the only thing separating him and Kennedy! A little scary. We also saw Stephanie and Cinda (The elephants) one of our favorites. They were getting "pedicures" while we were there. It was a wonderful weekend. Ryan and Krista even got to come to help me celebrate!

Funny Pic Kennedy Found

We recently did some basement cleaning and reorganization. Kennedy found this picture of Dana and I when we were just "kids"! It was taken when we took Dana up to school in Laramie. Kennedy knew it was daddy. But was just sure that was not her mommy. It gave me a good kick so I thought I would share.

Bright Sunny Day.
Today is rather gloomy here in "D" town. It's been raining all day and it is sooo humid. So I thought I would show a
picture from mid summer. There was this awesome sunflower field on the side of the road near Abilene and we were traveling home for the weekend to visit the fam. Anyway , had to snap a few of it and this is one of my favorites. With all of this rain Ike has been sending us it is making our KS farm fields pretty muddy. Hopefully it will dry up soon so all our dads can get those fall crops cut!

Pictures from Kennedy's 1st day!

An unplanned day at home!

Today the baby sitter's kids are sick and mommy didn't have to crazy of a day on her books at work so we are at home! Kennedy was excited to stay at home today. Yesterday was an absolutely beeeeeeutiful day here. We had some good outside time and pictures! The pic of Kennedy's scowl is a perfect view of her mood at that moment in time.

Last week she started "Pretty School" as she calls it! She is going Tues. and Thurs. 8:30 -11:00. She is absolutely loving her teacher and school. The little school is just so darn cute! There are 5 kids in her class including her. Kennedy and two of her classmates all live on the same street! So, they are well acquainted.
