T-Ball

This week marks the last week of t-ball for the summer.....and I am actually really going to miss it.  It has been so fun watching Miss Kennedy play.  She has done a fabulous job playing all this summer!  Some moments are so funny you are in tears.

After all it is just t-ball....it's all about the fundamentals!

There were 4 t-ball teams here this summer!  Quite a few for such a small town.  So pretty much every team has some of Kennedy's friends on it.  If you click on the collage and enlarge it you can see her friend Lane doing his happy dance in the upper right corner!!!!  Too Dang Funny!!! And in the lower right corner you can see her friend Jill.....shading her eyes from the sun........with her glove!!!!!

Here you can see what happens to poor Miss Emery's hair when caught in the wind while watching her big sis play.....like i said....the girl can grow some serious hair on top but we're still working on the sides!!!!

Here is Kennedy getting some hits off of her coach!  They now get 4 pitches from their coach before they hit off the tee.

Gentry and Emery are giving some love in the middle.  And on the bottom right is Brock.....the coache's son.....Mr. ALL-STAR.  Literally....no joke.  This kid is amazing at the age of 5.  There is no doubt in my mind this kid will play college ball someday.

This is Amie. She is the coaches daughter....aka Brock's sister.  She is also Kennedy's friend.  Kennedy just loooooves her.  She is the sweetest little girl and Amie is no bigger than a minute. So petite!

 As you can see in the upper right the "glove shade" has really been a popular UV barrier!!!  In the bottom right pic is Jill hitting and her Dad watching her in the background.  Sooo cute!  And of course Mr. Lane with his ornery grin! And the teams giving each other some good sportsmanship "good game fives" after it was over.

This is Jessica. She is one of three girls in her family too.  She plays on Kennedy's team and she has the prettiest blonde hair!

Well that pretty much sums it up in a nutshell of pictures!!!  My turn to bring drinks and snacks for after the game tomorrow night!.......sure hope I remember

Insanity

I promise you that I have not fallen off of the face of the earth!  Life here has been C.R.A.Z.Y
It's been t-ball games, summer reading, swimming, working and lots more. 

Gentry spent all of Father's Day throwing up but is back to norm!  So far the rest of us have managed to escape it!.....so far

It has actually been done for quite some time now.  Just haven't had the time to take the pics. So I am solemnly swearing to you all right now that some time next week I will show you the before and after pics!!! Yahoo!!!!

And one more thing....yesterday Dana and I marked 8 years of marriage!!!  We are going out friday night to celebrate!!!!

Baby Addelyn

My cousin Leslie and her husband Deric were expecting their first child mid July.  However, 5 weeks ago Leslie's water broke and she went into labor 9 weeks early.  They were able to hold Leslie's delivery off by one week in the hospital.

So we payed her a visit in the hospital.  Here are the girls sitting in bed with her.  Leslie is Gentry's Godmother!

A week later their baby was taken by emergency c-section.  They didn't know the sex so it was a surprise!  They were hoping for a girl...........and it was!!! 

Baby Addelyn Reese was born on Friday the 13th!!!! She was 8 weeks early weighing 3lbs 4oz with the cord wrapped around her neck and body. She has done very well since birth.  She has needed no help breathing!!!

Today she is 4 weeks old.  She is weighing around 5 lbs!!! Yea!!!  She will get to go home once she conquers the task of eating out of a bottle/breastfeeding.  She still has some apnea episodes too so they would like that to diminish as well.

Wednesday I wasn't busy for the first couple of hours at work so I was able to go up to the hospital to see her!!!  She has graduated from the incubator to a crib.  Which is a huge deal.  She can be held whenever. Where as before it was only at feeding times due to her temperature needing to be stabilized. The tube coming our of her nose is her feeding tube.  You can see why it would be taped to her cheek.  Even when they are this little they hate it!  She has ripped it out before.

I got to hold her too!  She was so wide awake the whole time.  And I swear she was giving me smiles......it may also have had something to do with that fact that she was having some gas!

Hopefully by the beginning of July, or before, she will be home!!!

Sunday Party

Our friends' daughter Maddison turned 5 today!!!  So we spent the majority of the afternoon enjoying her birthday party.......the girls had a blast.....as always at Maddie's house.

She opened her presents first.......here are the girls listening to a book that Maddie's Gpa and Gma got for her.  The book has their voices recorded on it.  So she gets to hear them read it to her.   Soooo precious!

I made Maddison a pillow for her room.  Her & Kennedy both have rooms decorated in butterflies.  We also gave her a cute bracelet w/ her name on it.  No pic of that though :(
