Our Girls

This silly child is getting too smart

She knows how to spell everyone's name in our family. She knows how to write all of her letters, uppercase and lower. She knows how to write her whole name. The other night while making supper she came in and said "Look what I did mom!" She had wrote everyone's name out completely by herself (Daddy wasn't even home)and did it perfectly! If you click on the picture you can enlarge it to see her writing.

And this child has been soooooo ornery. If she wasn't so dang cute.

And messy

This one is growing like a weed. And does look a little scared in this picture.

Princess Party

My friend Natalie's daughter turned 2 last week. She had a princess party saturday and the girls were invited. They had a great time and it was one of the cutest parties ever!

The Birthday Girl Allison

I let Kennedy and Gentry wear eyeshadow and lip gloss. They thought they were hot stuff!

My Beautiful Princess's

They went on a Princess Parade through the neighborhood!

Allison making it back in from the Princess Parade. She was dressed as Strawberry Shortcake to go with the theme of her party! One of Natalie's friends sewed this awesome dress for Allison. It was too cute.

Everyone enjoying their strawberries, w/ strawberry pop! and lots of other goodies.

Eating their red velvet cake pops

Allison getting her gifts!

Kennedy showing off her goodies out of her party favor basket

At the end of the party the girls decided to open Allison's makeup she had gotten from her mom. And then they decided they should put it on Allison. Apparently she didn't mind b/c she sat there like a little statue the whole time!

The Big 27!

Yes, today is my birthday! My favorite day of the year. The one day where it's all about me. Well wait.......that was before we had children. But it is still a day where I get to feel "special". This year I took it upon my self to do my own birthday shopping and then told the hubby to not buy me anything. And I meant it. It's just easier that way sometimes. And I must say I am quite pleased with my gifts! Yesterday I was granted a full day of shopping. Just Emery and I. It was very quiet. And very enjoyable. Dana and I ate lunch together at Cheddars and miss "E" slept the whole time. We had actual adult conversation! Then I spent two hours in heaven...I mean Hobby Lobby. And capped the day off at Target!

My new necklace from my favorite bead shop. Isn't she a beauty? Laura the owner is the sweetest woman in the world and so is her employee Debbie. I wax their eyebrows and they make me jewelry! This bead shop is truly awesome. They are so talented and you practically feel like you are stealing when you leave b/c they are so inexpensive. This necklace..........$13.60!!!!! I am also sporting my new sweater from Target.

While at Target this watch was screaming at me.....Buy Me, Wear Me, Love Me! What's a girl to do?

I told Dana this is what I wanted for my birthday. A Miche Bag. So I ordered it last week....and it came yesterday! Just in time for my birthday.

Did I make my own cake??? Absolutely yes. And it was fun b/c Kennedy helped. She loves helping cook/bake anything. She is my egg cracker and she is a pro at it! I also made chicken spaghetti for supper. MMmmm! Gentry said it was gross and dumped her whole cup of milk on top of her supper in the bowl. And then said she was finished. Happy Birthday Mom.

I would love to have a picture to put on here of me blowing out candles with the help of my girls. But......there was no candles. In fact the girls didn't even get cake. At least not tonight. They were having a really REALLY hard time listening. And after warning them 472 times not to touch that again, or don't pull your sisters hair again, or get out of Emery's face again, or don't scream again, or don't spit at someone again, their father had reached his breaking point and they made an early exit to bed....with lots of tears and screaming....and no cake. But here it is! The cake. And if I am to be brutally honest......I had one big damn piece and it tasted mighty delicious.

And since I didn't get a picture today with my girls here is a pic from last night with 2 of my 3 ladies.

Thank you to everyone who made my birthday special. The phone calls, cards, texts, gifts. I am truly blessed with amazingly wonderful family and friends. I love you all.

Lately

Last weekend we made our first trip back home with Emery! It was Clay Center's Fall Festival weekend. The girls usually ride their bikes in the parade in the morning and then everyone takes in all of the booths and activities throughout the rest of the day.

Can you see how dark the clouds are? It was around 60 degrees. This was at 10:00 in the morning! We just knew we were going to get rained out. But it missed us thankfully. And the afternoon parade turned out to be perfect weather.

Dylan, Kennedy and Gentry riding their bikes in the Kiddie Parade

When the Kiddie Parade starts they tell the kids "GO!" Dylan assumed that it was a race. He was going as fast as he could on his bike. To win of course! Sadly enough there was nothing to win. And the Kiddie Parade goes one whole block now!

The Afternoon Parade.......My pictures have been slacking lately. Quality and quantity. I wonder why? So please forgive me for the pictures.....or lack there of.
The High School Band

I think this picture looks too cool in a sepia tone. All the old tractors with the elevator makes it look like it was back in olden days.

Our fellow Republican Sam Brownback made it for the parade

The girls have been doing TONS of this.
I load Emery up in the stroller and they hop on their bikes. Yesterday Kennedy said something that made Gentry mad. So what did G do? She rammed her sister's bike with hers while they were riding down the street and knocked Kennedy over! Oh how I love peace :)
