A Yummy but Not So Healthy Breakfast

I found this super easy recipe for donuts on pinterest.Probably has the worst nutritional value ever.
But they proved to be tasty!

This is what you'll need
Put about half an inch of oil in the pan. Heat your oil up on medium heat.
take your biscuits out of can (don't use flakey) and punch a hole in the middle.
i used a medicine cup....we have lots of those
put biscuits in heated oil and flip when bottom side is golden brown

let them cool on some paper towels
then glaze with some butter and dip in cinnamon and sugar

I got a little carried away with cinnamon....what can i say? i like it
they were a hit with the girls
especially this one
MmmmMMMMMmmmm
Be careful though! If you eat to much they can defintely settle like a lead balloon!

Tired Girl

You know you are tired when you sleep with your arm in the air
This was a week ago. After her traumatic Saturday of almost knocking her teeth out face planting into the ground after jumping out of her swing. Which she does on a daily basis.
Somewhere it went wrong though!
Lots of blood. Two bottom middle teeth shoved way forward.
Two teeth are super loose and resemble a jack-o-lantern
Should I add that stuff like this seems to always happen under their father's supervision?
It does.
He is a great Father....just bad luck maybe?
Healing is hard work. Teeth are doing better. Slowing tightening back up and realigning on their own.
One is still on the fence as to whether it is going to die or not.
Good thing is they are baby teeth!

My Not So Baby, Baby #2

Well baby girl numero dose if officially quatro!!!
lol...not sure why the spanish got into me

But yes, G-Whizz, Gigi or aka Gentry has turned 4 freakin years old!!!
I can't even believe it. UGH!
Another moment of sentimental reality check

She turned 4 on the 21st of January and got to have her party on her acutal birthday!!!

For her birthday we decided to make her a kitchen....well I decided it would be a good idea and then convinced the wood working man of the house that he should make it.
He usually isn't to hard to convince if it's for his girls <3

Sunday night before her birthday he started on it
and we completed it at midnight friday night/saturday morning
it's not a good project if we don't cut it close on time
that's usually how we roll. you work better under pressure
So he did the construction. I painted and sewed the curtain.
And was there for moral support of course

Here is the finished product!!!
...
We were thrilled with how it turned out
We had it waiting in the living room for her when she came down
However, I called it the night before..........I said she is going to be dissappointed she isn't getting a wrapped present from us.
And sure enough she says "But where is the wrapping paper? How come it isn't wrapped?"
Boy do I know my girl!

Here is her birthday cake that Momma made. German Chocolate with Chocolate Buttercream Frosting!!
...and here she is with it!
...blowing out the candles
also a popcorn cake!!!
...and white cupcakes with strawberry buttercream frosting!!!
...Emery's Uncle Ryan and God Father playing with her during the party
That night when we were kissing birthday girl goodnight she smiles great big in her bed and says "It was the bestest birthday ever."

So I knew she had a great birthday!

Newspaper Wreath

Back in December I saw this cool idea on Rachel Ray for a wreath....out of newspaper!
I had to try it. It was suuuuuper easy....except for spray painting it.
That may have been a little tricky! And involved A LOT of spray paint.

You will need newspaper and zip ties.  I cut the paper into fourths.
...and you will also need a wire wreath frame. I think I paid $3 for mine at Michael's.
I layered four sheets of my cut newspaper on top on each other. Don't stack them "nicely" you want them a little messy.
...then scrunch the newspapers in the middle or gather them in the middle.
...then zip tie that middle section of you bundle of papers tightly to the top of the wreath.
...then fluff your paper up in a messy manner trying your best to hide the zip tie
...go around the whole wreath doing this. Making sure it looks filled in as you go around. You can make it as thick and fluffy as you want, The newspaper does tend to tear when you are fluffing it. But I found it actually adds some character to it.
...here is what it looks like all done before the paint! I really liked it and contemplated not even painting it!
...I forgot to  take pictures of the actual painting process.
I just clipped it on to the clothes line with a clothes pin.
It's so light weight! And I sprayed away.
The paper really soaks up the spray paint. I started out with a sage green spray paint and used the whole can! The spray paint by far is the most expensive part of the project. So not too bad.
I let it dry in the garge for a good 24hrs.

I wasn't completely satisfied with the way it looked after painting it. So I bought some gold metalic spray paint and sprayed the tips of the paper all around the wreath.
I instantly knew I loved it!!

And here is the finished sweetness!
...a close up
...We usually get a Sunday paper so if you don't include the cost of the paper the whole thing probably cost me $7. We already had the zip ties.

Skating Around

Saturday Kennedy attended a birthday party for one of her little classmates Mariah.
They got to go roller skating in Winfield.

The rink has been there for a very looong time.
It's old.
But that's what I like about it.
It has character and charm
It is far from perfect
Yet so perfect at the same time

Here is Kenisyn and Kennedy clinging to the rail at the beginning of the party
That's pretty much where Kennedy stayed the whole time....on the rail

Kenisyn was skating all over creation by the time the party was over

And I am sure you are thinking "What's up with K's eye?"
Her littlest sister gave her pink eye. At this point she was no longer contagious!
...here is Lexi and Kennedy. Lexi is Mariah's younger sister. It was her bday party too. They are almost exactly a year apart!
...looking to the front of the rink

...Here is Miss Mariah with her Bieber Fever cake!!!!
...Kennedy and Miss Jill........and poor Gracie next to Kennedy. My shutter speed really distorted her face :(
...presents
...Jill was a Pro....this girl has NO FEAR! She does flips off the diving board in swim lessons....and swims to the side!

The Wrap Up

These pictures wrap up our Christmas season of 2011

This was a dresser that I got at the flea market a few years ago already painted for $50. It is the home to all of the girls' puzzles, coloring books, colors, diapers, wipes and miscelanious stuff

So at Christmas time it is where I display my Navity. This year I received the stars and other than the stable I believe it is complete now!
This year I decorated this shelf differently and I really liked it. Do you see the little ceramic mice? Well my mom gave those to me when Dana and I had our first Christmas in our house.  They were hers before my Dad and her were ever married.
The sign I made and the jingle bells were given to me :)
....and next up is Kennedy's finished product!
.....Emery's excitement over her American Girl Doll Bitty Baby Santa brought her
...Emery and her Daddy with his new goose decoys Christmas morning
....and on to Dana's parents Christmas.  We celebrated downstairs this Christmas in her new daycare "facility"! Dylan is showing off his new shirt Grandma gave him.
...and then on to my Grandma's house to celebrate with my Dad's side of the family
...here is my Grandma with all of her Great Grandchildren!!! The two little boys are Caden and Jace and they belong to my cousin Kelly and his wife Carrie.  The kids had soooo much fun playing together this year.
...and then on to my Mom and Dad's for more Christmas celebration that night!!!
...My brother Ryan and his girlfriend Krista <3
...Emery showing off her new winter hat that she loves from her Grandpa and Grandma
Hope you all are having a good start to the New Year!!!
