Prom Reflection

Since it has been prom season here lately I thought I would share some old prom pictures of mine!

Junior Prom 2001 - My date was Cole. I was dating Dana at the time but he couldn't go with me since he had already graduated. The school we grew up in has closed prom so only Juniors and Seniors can go. Doesn't Cole looked thrilled! or maybe freaked out? LOL! It gives me a good laugh.

I look back at this picture and think "WOW I looked good!" And then I think "WOW I can't believe my parents let me wear that!" Now that I have daughters of my own it makes you think about it from a different perspective.

These were two of my child hood best friends. Paige who is now married and a Teacher!, ME!, and Kristi who is now a Pharmacist at Dillons!

Senior Prom! I LOVED this dress! It was my favorite.

Senior Prom 2002 - Jason was my date to our Senior Prom. Yes Jason.......my husbands brother.....yes I was dating Dana. No he couldn't come w/ me again....since he had already graduated. So why not go w/ his most trusted person/friend! He was a great date!

Stay tuned for Dana's prom pics!!!!

Awesome Time

It was a packed house at the Charles Koch Arena

Last night we got to see this man......Josh Turner in concert!!! It was amazing to say the least. And Ladies.....I must stress to you how easy on the eyes this man is. Oh my goodness is he good looking. Then he opens his mouth and that deep low voice starts talking or singing and every woman with in hearing distance melts like a popsicle on the 4th of July. Too bad his wife plays the keyboard and sings in his band! But I must also mention she is a very beautiful woman herself.

Look at that plaid shirt and those ripped up jeans. Then they stand him in front of farm equipment and make him shoot that pearly white smile. That's when all of us Back Woods girls go CRAZY!!!!

Here is a video I was able to get off of my little junker camera while he was singing "Firecracker". Make sure you pause my play list music at the bottom of the blog page before you play the video.

I think he is looking at me in this picture!!! Our seats were really good considering none were reserved. We were off to the side. But close. He was probably looking at our section wondering if there was a reserved area for Pregnant women. There were two couples to our right and both of the wives were expecting this summer also!

Emily West opened for Josh. It was her first concert ever to sing at. And man does that girl have a set of pipes. She'll make it big. Buckey Covington was also supposed to be there but didn't make it b/c his flight out of Memphis got canceled due to bad weather.

This concert was put on by KFDI and was one of their listener appreciation concerts. Which means all the tickets were free. But getting ahold of the tickets can be a little tricky. Thanks to my client Sue we were able to go!!! She gave us her 4 tickets that she didn't want. So we were able to take my cousin Leslie and her hubby Deric. We had such a great time. Thanks so much Sue!!!

The pics aren't the greatest bc I took my junker pocket camera thinking there was no way I would get in w/ my big honker. Well I was wrong. They didn't even check our stuff. Darn it! Oh well.

I was digging through some old pictures last night and found this one! This would be Miss Maddison and our very own Miss Kennedy when they just wee ones! Maddison has definatley grown some hair since this picture and Kennedy's just lightened up and got longer! This picture will be 4 yrs old sometime late this summer.

What a difference 4 years makes

Their Future

Lane was over one evening a couple of weeks ago. The girls and him were having a great time with Dana out in his shop. Dana said Lane asked "Hey Dana, Can I drive your old truck?" So Dana said "Sure!" Any interest from ANYONE about Dana's old truck makes him thrilled. So he let them get in. They couldn't really take off in the truck if they tried though. The thing has to have some juice under the hood everytime to kick start it! They ended up having the greatest time if you can't tell! I didn't even know any of this was going on. I was cleaning up supper and Daddy took all of the pics. Watch out neighbors........this is your future street traffic!!!!!

Spring Chicks

We got ready for church early yesterday. Miracle in itself with these two. I had a tree scoped out for some great sunday pics. So I was able to get some!!!!

A Real Smile!!!!!

I got this dress at Walmart. It was $7 with the sweater. I think God personally sent this dress to Walmart for me to find for Gentry. It could not match her eyes more perfectly! It is cotton and it is soooo stinkin cute.

I actually love it when you find an abandoned tree that hasn't been trimmed up in forever and still produces buds. It makes the perfect background for little kiddos.

A Princess on her throne!!! She has been fully potty trained for well over a month now. We are thrilled! No diapers at nap or night time either. She hated pull-ups like her sister. So we went straight to underwear. I can't blame them. Those things are like cardboard. So we are diaper free til September!!!!

The Park is 5 blocks from our house. And in order to get our elder child to be good in church we promised her some good park play in the afternoon. Yes......we bribed our child. And it was worth it b/c she was good.

And Baby #3 Is a.......?

On Tuesday we got to peek inside the belly to see who we are welcoming in 5 months!

And it's A 3rd Girl!!!!! Both Dana and I were expecting a 3rd girl from the beginning so we were not shocked. Nor disappointed. It's all we know after all. And we are well equipped for a little girl!
In this picture you are seeing her from her bottom side and her feet/legs are up so you don't see them. It was very obvious!!! I even said "It's a girl!" before the sonogram tech said anything. Then she smiled and said I was right.

Another thing we also found out is that I have Pacenta Previa. It is a complication in which the placenta grows in the lowest part of the womb (uterus) and covers all or part of the opening to the cervix (that definition is taken straight from google). Thought it would better describe the condition than me. So no heavy lifting for Mamma for awhile. Including my girlies. So its been a little rough. They say most of the time as the baby grows bigger the placenta will move upward in the uterus. I will be rechecked in 4 weeks to see if it has moved up. So a little extra precaution til then. Cross your fingers it fixes itself!

The Perfect Easter

We kicked off Easter Saturday evening with Dana's parents and his Dad's family. We celebrated at Dana's Mom and Dad's with Dinner, Fellowship, rooting Butler on in b-ball and of course the first of MANY egg hunts!

Blue Eye's hunting for an egg!

Hayden eating his gummies out of his egg. It was the cutest thing. He would pop the egg open, then open his mouth and dump them all in!

This was the best picture I could get of the three of them. And of course the oldest one is the one with the duh look!

Sunday Morning
The Bunny Came!!!! He brought princess watering cans with garden shovels, rakes and gloves! Kennedy also got the Princess and the Frog dvd and Gentry got Abby Cadabe. And then of course....lots of candy.

Picture of us after church

I made Dana pull over on the side of the street after church so I could take a picture of this tree. Those are cherry blossoms. I have never seen a tree so beautiful before. It was breath taking.

We celebrated at noon on Easter with my Mom's family. We went to my Uncle Dan and Aunt Marla's this year. The weather couldn't have been more perfect. A few of us even got a slight burn! The kids all had a wonderful time as did the adults!

Everyone hanging out outside after dinner. Some are playing a good game of Hillbilly Golf. It is actually pretty cool! And you are either good or you are not.

Baby Aubrey (Her mommy is my cousin Stacy) Aubrey is 4 months old. And the cutest thing ever. I just want to squeeze and love on her all day.

Kennedy and her Grandma Susan

Takin' a break......w/ chocolate smeared all over her mouth :)

Kennedy and Shayla on the swingset

Baby Aubrey sacked out on her Great Aunt Joan

It wouldn't be an egg hunt if at least one egg hadn't been dropped exploding candy all over in the dirt and creating all sorts of tears from a little girl. Even though she couldn't carry her sack b/c it was so heavy from all the other eggs full of candy.

This is what the girls came home with after Easter LAST YEAR

This is what they came home with THIS YEAR.........not sure if it was any less than last year. Maybe a little?...Maybe not. Do you see the older sister peaking through her wood mask? You almost can't see her!

Then Sunday late afternoon we headed to my Grandma's house. The girls also got another egg hunt there and lots of other great gifts. But it was getting warm. They were covered in chocolate. And sticky all over. No naps. Attitude bursting at the seams. And this pregnant Mamma was exhausted. So I didn't get any Easter pics from the last celebration. But we truly had a great time!
