The Big O-N-E !!!

Wednesday was Gentry girl's first birthday!!! She was born 2:47 a.m. via emergency c-section (didn't know she had turned and was feet first! Was at 7cm when arrived at hospital!) So she was already technically one when she awoke for her first big birthday present. She got a ride in car that mommy and daddy can push her in (no pedal power). She got one beautiful day on thursday to enjoy it outside before it turned cold again. Here are some pics!

New Blog to Follow

Okay, so I added a new blog on our links to follow. But get this.....I don't even know this woman. I found her blog through several others (a blog through a blog through a blog). I can't stop reading her blog. She has to be the strongest woman ever. She has four daughters, one of which pasted away. She has lots of video on her site about losing her daughter Audrey and thier story. She also talks about her Christian faith (which is so strong) and her amazing bond with her best friend Audra. This blog is just too awesome. Please check it out.

It's on the side bar under: Audrey Caroline

It will give you a new outlook on life.

Happy Anniversary Mom and Dad!!!

Today is my parent's 27th wedding anniversary!

Dad was born and raised on the farm where my parents have lived since they got married. I also had the pleasure of being raised there too! So my Dad has always had the same neighbors. One of those neighbors happens to be my mom's aunt and uncle (Max and Lana, We miss you lots uncle Max) Back in the day Max and Lana were always trying to fix my mom up on a date with my dad. At that time she was living in Dallas, TX living the single life and had been for 10 years. After many years of mom saying she was NOT dating a farmer she came back to visit and asked uncle Max and aunt Lana if that neighbor guy Larry was still single b/c she MIGHT be interested in meeting him. So before long they had thier first date. And 2 months later, yes TWO months they were hitched.

Happy Anniversary Mom and Dad! We Love You Lots!!!!!!

Cheese!

CHILD UNATTENDED!

Okay, so I leave my youngest child unattended for only a few (FEW, I THOUGHT??)moments and this is what I get!!! Come on mothers, admit, we all let them out of our site for short amounts of time. Gentry is becoming quite mischevious or shall I say curious. She has to explore every angle of EVERYTHING. And YES that is a whole box of brand new kleenexes on the floor.

Polar Opposites

So I thought I would post some pictures of our daughters' eyes. These two girls couldn't have more opposite eye color if they wanted to. Gentry's eyes are about as bright blue as natural eye color can come and Kennedy's are as hazel brown as they can be w/o actually being brown. Either way, both girls have the most beautiful eyes you have ever seen. Of course we are a little biased!!! Not sure where they really came from. Dana's fam carries the hazel brown gene and blue runs on both sides. But not this vibrant. We sure hope they don't change. We get stopped on a regular basis in stores from random strangers commenting on the girls' stunning eye colors.

Improvement

Flashback!

Well all of your thoughts and prayers must be working. Oh, and.........the medicine too! We ended up making a trip to the doc on Sunday. Our dr.'s office is open 4 hrs on sat. and sun.'s. Influenza was ruled out, which was no big surprise since she had the flu shot. She was x-rayed for pneumonia and her lungs looked good thank heavens. She also had a culture done on her which takes 3-5 days to process. It should show anything else that might be attacking her system like Mersa Staff Infection or something of that nature. Those types of infections are not fought by the different antibiotics she had been taking. So she is on an old school sulfate script just in case something does show up but we will find out in a day or two. We also got refills for the nebulizer!!! So the breathing treatments are really helping. Last night she slept the whole night through. That was about the best gift I could ask for.

Kennedy prays every night that Gentry will get better. It is sooo cute! She truly loves her sister. When I got back from taking Gentry to the dr. on sun. I walked in the house to set down my purse and a few other things. Kennedy had stayed home with Daddy and helped him on a remodeling project we are doing. Kennedy asked, "Mom where's Gentry?" I said I had left her at the dr.s office (jokingly). Well she didn't understand my humor and started sobbing and crying NO MOM, NO MOM! I want my sister, go get her, don't leave her please please. Then I proceeded to tell her Gentry was asleep in the explorer and I was just teasing her. And then I apologized, of course! It showed how much she truly loves her sissy. Then we had to immediately go in to the garage and get her so she could see that I didn't leave Gentry.

So I am attaching a picture of when the two first met. It is just soooo adorable. It makes me choke up everytime.
