Birthday Bash

Saturday night was.........the night
the night she has been talking about since at least September
her birthday party

As long as she had TWO cakes and one was Toy Story she could have cared less about anything else

She tore through the presents so fast we didn't know what card went with which present
there was paper flying everywhere
she'd no more get it out and then throw it behind her shoulder....and on to the next one
as her mother i felt bad for the gift givers
but i have to remember she turned 3....not 13

This was a good as it was going to get with these 4!
They were sooo excited
Emery of course was probably......just more scared!

She really had a great party
almost everyone showed (around 25 people!)
thanks to all of you who made it so special for her
She is officially our 3 year old middle child....yikes!

And I am having a few troubles with my blog so bear with me please :)

3 yrs ago today

Three years ago today we welcomed our middle daughter into the world.
Kennedy became a big sister for the first time.......and she was sooooo proud!
It's so hard to believe time has gone so fast.  It's amazing to see how smart they are as they grow, their personality and many other wonderful things. But couldn't they stay that size just a little longer?

Happy Birthday Gentry Lynn.  We all love you so much and thank God everyday for you.  You are beautiful, wild, funny smart and hard headed. You melt our hearts.

Last Weekend

Last weekend we got to see these wonderful people.......
This is Dana's uncle and three cousins. They live in Virginia so we don't get to see them very often.  They were back last weekend for a funeral so we took a trip back home and got to do some catching up with them!  It had been several years since we had seen his cousins.

It was great getting to see them.  Erin and her husband are due w/ their first child (a girl!) in March!!!!  We are so excited for them.  None of them got to bring their spouses back with them.  The trip was unexpected. But hopefully one of these days we will get together spouses, children and all!!!!

A Great Snow Day

This morning we woke up to our first snow of the winter season!  The girls were thrilled.  As soon as Gentry looked out the window she said...."It's Christmas!!!".  I got a really good laugh out of that one.

So I promised when Kennedy came home from preschool they could get their gear on and head out!
SNOW ANGELS!
Daddy even came home from work early so he could enjoy some time out in it with them!

Our neighbors Mike and Lane came too!  And Dana got quite the workout pulling them in the sled!!!!!
He kept losing a couple!
poor Lane......he's in between the girls in the brown!!!!!!!!!!! you can barely see him
Emery and I watched out the living room window. she might only be 4 mos but she was really watching!...something
Can you tell?  Check out the size of those eyeballs!!!!!
you can't help but want to eat her up, especially that lovely drool.....yum yum
It eventually started to get too dark and cold and windy. so dad said it was time to come in. and time for....

some good ole' hot chocolate
it really was a great day :)

Our Craziness

These last couple weeks have been crazy.  Have I stopped blogging?........no.  Is my life crazy?......yes.  Is it slowing down?........no.  Do I love it?...........most of the time.  I currently have 186 emails in my inbox. I spent all of  my New Year's Day and the day after doing laundry.  And there is currently 3 loads of laundry waiting to be folded.......now wrinkled. And 3 loads waiting to be washed. I will never be ahead. Never. I have finally accepted it.

Our neighbor passed away from lung cancer New Years Day. She was diagnosed last May. She turned 72 on the 19th of December.  She leaves behind her husband of 51 years, 6 children and 14 grandchildren.  She taught dance for 49 yrs. She was the most physically fit 71 year I have ever me in my life. She ate healthy all her life.  And never smoked one cigarette. We saw her almost every day since they have lived next to us. She was wonderful.  And it is heartbreaking. She suffered in the end.  A lot. Cancer is ugly.  And I wish it would die. Instead of people. Tomorrow is her funeral. It will be hard for her family and all of us neighbors. My girls will miss her tremendously.  As will the rest of us.  Rest in Peace Betty.  We love you.

It makes me very thankful for our healthy Christmas.

Here are some photos to reflect upon our whirlwind holiday.  We had four Christmas's on Christmas Day. It was wonderful and exhausting.
Christmas Eve at home before Mass

 Poor Emery
Her life must be torture with these other two around and yet she is seriously the happiest baby ever....with the exception of her car seat.
Christmas morning at home after the girls opened the gifts. At 10:00 we left to head back home for all our other Christmas's.
We made it a little before 1:00 to have dinner with Dana's family and gifts followed.  My girls are now on the road thanks to Grandpa and Grandma :)
We then headed to my Grandma's in town and on to my Mom and Dad's for the evening. Unfortunately by these two Christmas's my camera taking energy had already met it's max. But the girls heard Santa's sleigh bells out in the country at my parent's. And upon opening the door found he left them all some awesome gifts on the front porch (a big Buzz, Woody and Jesse Doll from Toy Story. They talk among other things and are so cute)

Sunday evening we had Christmas at Dana's Grandma's. Then Monday came and it was time to return home.  Kennedy and Gentry got to stay behind with their Grandma's and Grandpa's for a few more days.  Good Thing........as you can see. There would have been no room for them with all the gifts. And we drive a Suburban.

The 3rd row seat is removed in this picture if that tells you anything.
This is what the view from behind the front passenger seat looked like.  Emery's car seat is directly behind. And she is completely surrounded. But it all fit! We're pretty sure next year we'll need a trailer. And I am being very serious.

We swung by the doc on the way home for Miss Emery.  She was having what mommy thought to be a respiratory infection. She ended up having double ear infection. Surprise Surprise.  Round two....under 4mos of age.

And after all the unpacking, laundry, cleaning, breastfeeding and working this pretty much describes how I feel.........................
Today she turned 4 mos old. I can hardly believe it. She melts my heart beyond imagining. Along with her sisters of course. But she can't talk back so I'm just a little softer for her right now if you know what i mean.  She goes for shots on monday. It's supposed to be 17degrees and an 80% chance of snow.  Go figure.

Happy Girl

This little lady thinks she's pretty hot stuff these days. And really........she is!

She rolled over for the first time Sunday. From back to her front! That is the earliest out of all 3 of our girls.  The other two were right at 4mos. Emery was 3 mos on the 7th.
She takes EVERYTHING in.....her eyes are always like this!  She doesn't want to miss a thing.
She is like a little turtle.  Her head is always popped up in the air.......looking...at everything.
She sees something....
And smiles!  She truly is an awesome baby.  So sweet. What's not to love? Look at the girl! She melts our hearts!
I decided to put my Christmas Village up this year. Last year Gentry was too little. I knew there was no way she would leave it alone. The village means a lot to me.

The village was my Grandma and Grandpa's.  My Grandpa started it and added to it every year.  I loved seeing it at their house. When my grandfather passed away my Grandmother gave it to me. Because she knows how much I love it.
Yes we get a real tree!
