Lindi's Wedding

We ended our vacation with Lindi's wedding! Lindi is a cousin of Dana's and a good friend of ours. She lived with us for a semester while she student taught at a High School down here. Lindi & Dana grew up together and we wouldn't have missed Her and Scott's big day for the world!!! My pics aren't the best but here is a glimpse of their big day.

Their wedding was at a beautiful winery outside of St. Louis. The weather could not have been more perfect. I believe at the actual time of the wedding it was 83 degrees!

This would be our rebellious, out of control, tired, bawled about everything that evening, Grouchy Gentry. Her & Mommy ended up leaving shortly after the wedding and going back to the hotel room b/c she was making such a scene and I was in tears with her attitude. She got a bath and was in bed asleep before 8:00. The wedding was at 6:00 20 miles away if that tells you anything. She slept until 8:30 the next morning. All of vacation had caught up with her. Just stunk for Mommy since she didn't get to stay for the meal and dance after we had come all that way. But such is life.

We are so happy for Lindi and Scott. He is an awesome guy and we know he will treat her well. Congrats you two!!!

Happy Birthday Dylan!!!

Today is this boy's 3rd birthday! Hard to believe 3 years ago we became an Aunt and Uncle and Kennedy got her first cousin.

He had a Curious George birthday party at the park sunday night.

The girls were so excited for his party all week they could hardly stand it. They were driving me CRAZY! But the party finally came and this picture made it worth the wait. Seriously? All 3 of them looking at the camera smiling and acting decent.

This was his awesome cake that his mom made. It was soooo cool! He of course loved it.


He was sooooo excited to blow out his candles. But even more excited to have some of his awesome cake!!!



Dylan we hope you are having an awesome birthday!!! You are being quickly outnumbered by girls on our side of the family. Hope you can survive it! Kennedy and Gentry wish they were there with you celebrating again. Soon Emery will be here and you will be outnumbered 3 to 1!!! But we all love you so much and can't wait to see what the years ahead bring for you!

Placenta Re-Check

Today I had a sonogram to recheck my Placenta Previa. It went.........not sure in what direction though. My placenta is no longer sitting over the cervix. So it has moved.....but not far. It is sitting right to the side. So it is still really low. Not sure what the doc will say. I see him again in a week. Most likely I will do another sono in 4 wks or so. There is a chance that as the baby's head drops it will push the placenta up further. So for now I really don't know a whole lot.

She moves constantly. So it was no surprise that the sono tech could not get a good shot of her. Every time she tried to get a pic she'd move. Got a good one of her arm and hand though! She is weighing around 5lbs and has looooong legs. They are all scrunched up in my ribs! And I still have 7 weeks to go. She might choke me before we get there.



For those of you that have asked me "Are they sure it's really a girl?" here is a crystal clear picture for ya! No she has not sprouted a penis. Those three lines by the arrow would be her GIRL parts!!!

So I am a little dissappointed. I was hoping she would say "Looks great, placenta is riding high". Not so much though. Baby is healthy and in the end that is really all that matters. BUT recovery with 3 little girls would be a lot more tolerable if I could avoid the c-section. So if you send out a couple extra prayers in my favor (and Emery's) I would truly appreciate it! I will keep every one up to date as I learn more.

Vacation Part 3 } Grant's Farm

On Saturday morning we visited Grant's Farm. It was really neat. We got to see the Clydesdale Horses. Although they were in their stables so it was hard get a picture of anything other than their butt! We were hoping to see them out and about but no such luck. Admission to Grant's Farm is FREE! You just pay for parking and that's it! So it was a very popular place.

Grant's Farm is where the founder of Budweiser/Anheiser Busch lived.

Vacation Part 2 } St. Louis

We got to St. Louis late on Thursday. So Friday morning we ate breakfast at the Waffle House. Which was dirt cheap and Oh My Good Lord was it Yuuummmmy!!! Waffles are the girls' favorite meal. I don't think we had to tell them once to "keep eating". Which was a treat in itself. Of course any kind of syrup with a 2 and 4 year old is always a fiasco. But they were quite so Oh Well!


After waffles we headed to the Magic House. It is the Children's Museum in St. Louis. We were told it was awesome. Boy was that an understatement! It was AMAZING. 4 floors of the coolest stuff for the kids.
We started out in the Bubble Room. It was very hard for me not to shove all the kids down and take over. Even as an adult I..Love...Bubbles.





Waterworks

Our Monkey...This is how she is everyday. Literally.

They had a car the kids could work on. They could change the tires with an impact. Change the oil, oil filter, fluids and even gas it up. I am not sure who was more thrilled with this one...the girls.....or their father!


This part was soooo cool. They had a little town. Grochery store, pizza place, mini house etc. The girls were in hog heaven.

They had a baby nursery there with every piece of Dr.'s equipment you could think of. The girls were THRILLED with this station to say the least. We took Gentry out screaming and bawling.


Fishing with Daddy and Grandma

This was a humongous bean stalk that they could climb up and down on. It went 3 stories high!!! The girls wouldn't do it. I think it looked a little scary to them.

Of course they had the static electricity ball. Gentry was all excited for this. She was too short to do it by herself so mommy assisted. No wonder she was excited....look at her hair!!!! Mommy's was pinned down and maybe just too heavy. As for Kennedy, she wanted nothing to do with this.

Tools.......A girl after her Daddy's heart. Gentry is all about the mechanics of things. Just like her father.....for real.....she has to know how everything comes apart and goes back together.


We had a great time there. I think we spent close to 5 hrs at the Magic House if you count one break for G's breathing treatment and a trip out to the Suburban for lunch. We ate at least one meal out of our cooler every day. Most days two. Which we have been told is totally redneck. BUT I must say it saved these rednecks a lot of money!
