Corn Fed

Some of Dana's co-workers will get a kick out of this post. (If they read our blog) He always gets teased and harrassed at work b/c they think he's a country boy. Compared to most of the city slickers he works with.......he is. Anyway one co-worker inparticular.....hhhmmmmm.....(you know your name) calls Dana "Corn Fed". So this post is for you.

These are some shots of the corn field across from our house. I think its beautiful. I just love it. And at sunset, it is absolutely breathtaking.

I just love the valley of corn you can see in the back ground of this pic above. The river is at the end where all the awesome cotton woods are.

Sunday "Delight"

As you can see above church was a real treat today. We made it to the big Moonlight Automobilia Show last night. We "all" got home late. And we felt the effects today!


Daddy will be flying high in the sky again tomorrow. He is headed to Atlanta for another Porsche training class. He's already been twice this year for JAG. He'll be gone all week and return home friday night. We will miss him lots and mommy is praying her week isn't TOO long. Please feel free to say a prayer for him to return back home to us safely.

A fun day in the sun!

Well we hit the new YMCA water park yesterday w/ our friends Melissa and Maddison. We had a great time.......As you can see below!

Gentry and Mommy > This is pretty much where she spends all of her time at the water park........on my hip. She will sit on the side and kick her feet though. She isn't quite as fond of it yet as her sister is.

This is just one side of the big bucket dumping, cool slides, water jungle gym thingy majigger. This is where Kennedy spends all of her time. Oh, and the lazy river too. She gets to ride through it on my lap in an inner tube. It's awesome!

Gentry gets pooped quickly w/ all the action. She had to take a break to rest her head on mommy's legs (Even though is looks like she is resting her head on something else! Come on people........you know those wouldn't be mine!)

This HUGE bucket dumps out water every 10 minutes or so. If you look to the lower left you can see Melissa holding Maddison and Kennedy holding her hand. They couldn't stop laughing.

My girls and I! My cheeks are so big when I smile that they push my glasses up, way high and I think I look like a "goon" in this picture. So I hope you get a kick out of it.

Kennedy and Mommy> It's amazing how this child is 1/2 of me and our eye color is nothing alike. But I love hers. It definately comes from her daddy's side of the fam!

Water Bugs

Well nothing too exciting and new this week. Kennedy started swimming lessons on monday. She LOVES them. No surprise. She goes off the diving board w/o hesitation. I will get some pics for you all. She still gets to go one more full week! The water has pretty much been our life lately. We are headed to the YMCA water park later this afternoon w/ our friends Melissa and Maddie. So stay tuned for pics from that! Here are a few from this last week.

For some reason my child possesses dislexia characteristics when it comes to glasses. She will wear them like this for long lengths of time!

It's seriously the cutest thing in the world. I pull out the camera and she instantly goes "CHEESE"! In her cute little 17mon. voice. She hasn't ever had a chance to be camera shy!

A 4th To Remember

Well we had a great 4th weekend. Couldn't have asked for more unseasonable weather. But it was great. Other than being chewed alive by chiggars down at the pond. We spent a lot of time out on the farm. The girls really soaked it up. Mommy and daddy even got to go on a morning date sunday! Breakfast and a movie (saw "The Proposal" ABSOLUTELY HILARIOUS!). So here's a few pics to recap.

Happy 4th of July!!!

Well we celebrated the 4th of July w/ our neighbors and good friends on thursday evening. We had a great time. Here are some pics from the evening. Thanks Mike, Cina, and Lane!

Kennedy and her sparkler....she likes to stay a safe distance from it. So far she does not seem to posess pyro characteristics like her father.

Daddy and Mike (Lane's Dad) enjoyed the fireworks just as much(maybe more!) as the kids. As you can see below. This is what happened to the semi after they loaded the trailor w/ fireworks and lit them.

Bird Bath

Gentry got a bird bath before bed. I guess you could say I was too lazy to fill the whole tub up. But from a hairdresser/mother's perspective she didn't need her hair washed. She liked it, so that's all that mattered.
