Lately

Last weekend we made our first trip back home with Emery! It was Clay Center's Fall Festival weekend. The girls usually ride their bikes in the parade in the morning and then everyone takes in all of the booths and activities throughout the rest of the day.

Can you see how dark the clouds are? It was around 60 degrees. This was at 10:00 in the morning! We just knew we were going to get rained out. But it missed us thankfully. And the afternoon parade turned out to be perfect weather.

When the Kiddie Parade starts they tell the kids "GO!" Dylan assumed that it was a race. He was going as fast as he could on his bike. To win of course! Sadly enough there was nothing to win. And the Kiddie Parade goes one whole block now!

I load Emery up in the stroller and they hop on their bikes. Yesterday Kennedy said something that made Gentry mad. So what did G do? She rammed her sister's bike with hers while they were riding down the street and knocked Kennedy over! Oh how I love peace :)

The Weekend

Yesterday Dana's parents came to visit. Dana, the girls, and his parents all took off for the State Fair in the afternoon. Emery and I made the executive decision to stay at home b/c of the heat and all of the walking. Not so sure I could have handled that much walking and not sure she could have handled that much heat. We had some good bonding time at home though. And Kennedy and Gentry had a blast.

I was told that Kennedy made a friend on every ride. That is no surprise. She makes friends everywhere she goes. She always starts off the conversation with "Hi, my name is Kennedy, what's yours?" And the rest is history!

They were chatting it up quite nicely!

Kennedy's favorite ride is the "Big Wheel" aka the Ferris Wheel. And despite her Dad's fear of heights he always rides it with her! Grandpa Dana went along for the ride too!


Dana even took this picture! However I hear he didn't feel so well afterward!

Riding the carousal with their grandma Walleta. This is Gentry's favorite ride...or shall I say her ONLY ride. She won't go on anything else. No matter what fair it is.

And of course I have to squeeze a few of little miss Emery in the post too.

Emery was laying in Kennedy's bed just staring at her. Gentry wanted to join in too of course but can't lay still (hints her Dad's hand in the pic). Literally right before I snapped this pic Kennedy says "Mom, Emery is going to throw up in my bed." I of course laugh and say no she's not. I snap the picture and......BARF! All over Kennedy's pillow! How she knew I have no idea. But she knew!

Introducing E.G.B.!!!!!

EMERY GRACE was born last tuesday on September the 7th at 9:51 a.m.!!!!!!!!!
She was 7lb 2oz and 19 inches long
Here's beauty at it's best! 6:30 a.m. right before we headed to the hospital.

We were slightly surprised with how little hair she has compared to her two sisters who had wigs at birth! But she still has a good amount.

Emery was born on her Aunt Ann's birthday! Aunt Ann is also the one who got her this cute hat!






This is pretty much where you will find Kennedy all the time. In Emery's face! However is does look like they are doing some serious bonding in the picture. Which melts my heart.

Lane got to meet Emery last night! His Mommy made us a wonderful supper that they brought over.

I made it to my scheduled c-section date which I did not think would happen. But she was coming on tuesday no matter which way b/c I went into labor on the way to the hospital and started having contractions every 5-10 minutes! So tuesday was her day regardless!!!

We are enjoying every minute of her. We have had one really rough night. But she made up for it the next with one really good night! We are trying to soak up every minute. Daddy goes back to work tomorrow. Which is sad. We sure have enjoyed having him around. Grandma Susan will be here for a couple days to help out though! K and G are adjusting pretty well. We have rough patches. But that's to be expected. Hope you enjoyed the pics as much as we are enjoying her!

Preschool

A week ago today Kennedy started her 3rd year of preschool. She is going 3 days a week this year. She was sooooo excited to see all of her friends and her teacher again after going all summer with out them.

I have a picture of Kennedy every year before her first day of school on the front porch. She looks sooooo big this year!

We are so thankful for Miss Dana. She has taught Kennedy so much about so many things.

On another note........Miss Emery Grace will be making her grand entrance into the world tomorrow! We are praying everything goes well and that we will have another healthy baby girl to take home! Pictures will be coming soon!

Bathroom B4 & After!

BEFORE........when we first moved in to this place we ripped out the carpet that was on the floor in the bathroom and replaced it with stick tiles. It was cheap and worked great for the last 7 years. I also painted the vanity top with this stuff called Tough As Tile. It worked great for about 5 yrs and then started to chip. So improvised for 7 yrs with what we were given. But it was finally time for all of it to go.

Dana spent endless hours on this project for weeks upon weeks. I can only take credit for picking everything out and redoing the vanity and all the painting. Other than that it was all him! He is such a talented guy don't you think?! We even made the mirror frame. Same mirror as before just with a frame! Anyway, it was a significant improvement. And we are just glad it is done!
